Milan @ Nite
Vu was born and raised in Milan, Italy--the heart of Southern Europe, where culture, fashion, music & art, both ancient and modern, all collide. She works as a graphic designer for a photo agency, and besides graphics, her passion is crafting (see vuheart.com). She loves music, and grew up listening to punkrock, punk77, hardcore, rocksteady & soul; but she never stops exploring other genres. She believes music is one of the best ways to communicate what is authentic. She likes hanging out with her friends, and constantly keeping up to date with what’s going on in her city. She also travels whenever she can. Her favorite destination is California, where she found out about Cool Girls, and spent 2 years having FUN FUN FUN!!! |

Austin @ Nite
Originally hailing from Midwestern cultural mecca Lawrence, Kansas, Caroline Casey has been a fixture of the Austin, Texas roots and 60s garage music scenes for over ten years. During this time, she has traveled the world with her rockabilly band the Casey Sisters, and her solo 60s country act, Caroline Casey & the Stringslingers. Her Austin adventures have led her in many directions-- a promoter of shows for the 60s garage and mod scenes, an interview in Grammy-nominated documentary “Welcome to the Club: Women of Rockabilly,” a spangled and jangled dancer with the Shim Shimmy Go Go Girls, a roots music historian, record collector, author for several national publications and music editor for Austin’s late, great Whoopsy! Magazine. Her obsession with old-school music draws her out to every honky-tonk and beer joint there is to be found, as well as the down-and-dirty blues bars and thriving garage parties and dive bars that embody the rebellious spirit of Texas independent music. It is this rebellious spirit that she hopes to convey to the world as our Austin-based contributor.
